Netflix has dropped the first trailer for Copenhagen Cowboys, director Nicholas Winding Refn’s upcoming Danish series (Drive,Only God Forgives), and it looks like Refn’s homecoming hasn’t ‘t make his bloody, and often stunningly beautiful, aesthetic dulled.
The trailer is a series of neon flashing images set to pulsing techno beats in typical Refn style, causing or even shocking while offering little explanation. Refn fans will Familiarize yourself with the series’ aesthetics from his most recent film outing, Only God Forgives (2013) and Neon Demon(2016).

Copenhagen Cowboy , Refn’s first project in his native Denmark also starred Refn’s daughter Lola Corfixen, Zlatko Buric, Andreas Lykke Jørgensen, Jason Hendil-Forssell, LiIi Zhang and Dragana Milutinovic. It will have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 9 and a global release on Netflix later this year.
