Vitor Belfort will play Hasim Rahman Jr. on October 15 in Sheffield, England

Vitor Belfort returns to the ring with Hasim Rahman Jr.

The DAZN X-Series 002 competition was announced at an event hosted by popular YouTuber KSI. The competition will take place in Sheffield, UK on October 15th. KSI’s Misfits Boxing will promote the event.

Belfort was last seen in a boxing match on September 11, 2021. He fought boxing legend Evander Holyfield in an exhibition match. Belfort defeated Holyfield, then 58, by TKO in the first round.

As for Rahman, he’s been in the news after his previous showdown with Jake Paul was called off. Paul’s team claims Rahman can’t reach his contracted weight. That hunch was correct because Rahman weighed in the day before the race was supposed to take place and was 1.5 pounds over the limit.

Nevertheless, this game is a big deal for Belfort Liefeld’s tougher test. While Holyfield is one of the greatest boxing heavyweights of all time, many agreed that at his age, even in an exhibition fight, he was ineligible to fight Belfort.

Rahman is an active professional boxer although he lost his final bout against James MacKenzie Morrison on April 29 A boxer, he was still more experienced than Belfort. Rahman also happens to be the son of former boxing heavyweight world champion Hashim Rahman.

Belfort is expected to collide with another boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya ahead of Holyfield bout. This will be the return of the “Golden Boy” fight, and it will be held under the Triller banner. De La Hoya contracted COVID and the game was canceled.

De La Hoya later admitted to Ariel Helwani that he felt he had “ducked away” and didn’t have to deal with “phenomenal.”
