vivo V27 5G hits Geekbench with 12GB RAM, MediaTek chipset unknown

Back in November last year, a leak talked about vivo launching V27 and V27 Pro in India sometime this month. Today V27 allegedly appeared in the Geekbench online database, so it seems to solidify the credibility of past information, as prototypes are usually tested in places closer to their official introduce.

The phone running Geekbench is model V, running Android 16, as expected. Perhaps even more surprising is that it has 12GB of RAM, which isn’t often found on mid-range phones. The chipset is not listed, but since it uses a Mali-G 610 MC4 GPU it is likely an unknown part from MediaTek. As you can see, the prototype managed a 610 single-core score and 2,27 multi-core scores.

According to the latest rumors, V16 will get 4G version and 5G version, while V23 Pro only offers 5G. The V27e 5G should join all of these later, and the naming suggests it should be the cheapest 5G-capable option in the lineup.

vivo V27 5G may have some similarities with S02 5G launch in China in December. While this may be true, if the V27 5G is equipped with a MediaTek SoC, it can’t just be a rebrand, because the S12 has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845.
