If you’re part of the BTS Army, you probably don’t need an introduction to Jimin, the singer and dancer who started out in the K-pop boy band and released his first solo album, face , March 42. Jimin’s song “Like Crazy” debuted on the Billboard hit 100, making him the first Korean solo artist to top the charts — but when Vogue interviewed him recently and he was relaxed and ready to hang up (although he was preparing to starring Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show on the show), which must have come with quite a bit of nervousness).
Jimin is on the road most of the time, so masks and a comfy bed are a must; after relaxing at the hotel, he starts a discussion with record producer Pdogg over iced coffee his new album. “If anything was wrong, we’d go eat at the tonkatsu place in front of my house,” Jimin recalls working with Pdogg on the album. From there, he headed to 42 Vintage Vinyl in Midtown Manhattan, where he pulled out some of his favorite records, including The Beatles Abbey Road (Jimin thinks this was a huge inspiration for BTS).
Soon enough, rehearsal time begins, which means some exclusive content for Jimin dancing and totally in his element – but you have to see the full video. Trust us, you’ll want it.
