VTuber saga: How I went viral after forgetting to turn off my stream light novel gets TV anime



Kadokawa Start video announcing TV anime adaptation

Nana Nanato‘s light novel series Thursday. This video features VTuber character Awayuki Kokorone from the light novel series, voiced by Ayane Sakura.

Nanato’s serial illustration Novel Siokazunoko at 2021. Kadokawa will publish the sixth volume of the novel in January .

J-Novel Club licensed the novel and described the story: 20 year old former wage slave Yuki Tanaka is now working in her Idol: Live streamer- On, one of the top VTuber companies in Japan. As the gorgeous and polite Awayuki Kokorone, she delivers only the most ladylike content. Unfortunately, her subscriber numbers and savings were rock bottom.

One night, Yuki thinks she’s done with her stream, and while watching the Live-On archives, she cracks some dry jokes — and more than a few crude ones. But her audience heard it all, and clips of her lewd, drunken comments went viral overnight. Yuki thinks her career is over… until her manager reveals that everyone at Live-On has been waiting for her to blow up and let her go free while drinking on-air.

Now free of all pretense of innocence, she jumps straight into her new “loud drunk” persona and is inspired by her Live-On The welcome from the VTubers buddy turned out to be as crazy as she is! With her views and finances skyrocketing, Yuki’s job – for the first time in her life – is really fun!
