Teyana Taylor is a jack of all trades. Whether she’s showcasing her singing, dancing, modeling, choreography or acting skills, the star is known for bringing an unparalleled passion to each project. Not surprisingly, Taylor puts the same amount of attention into her beauty regimen. it’s here, years old, this Friday will be starring in the upcoming movie One Thousand and One , go Vogue Through pre-date night routines, from perfectly etched brows to second-skin foundation. “Are you all ready?” she posed before diving in.
“When I had kids, I started really dealing with zits, random pimples, bumps, blackheads, I got into skin care,” Taylor says to Tatcha’s The rice washing liquid foams. She prioritizes deep cleansing to fully remove all makeup residue, which often means three different formulas. The second is a gentle exfoliator and the third is Fresh’s soothing gel. “I’m a hybrid person,” Taylor insisted. After wiping off the cleanser with a damp cloth, it’s time for La Mer’s face mist, a plumping lip mask, and a dose of moisturizer she mixes with sunscreen.
Prepping the skin, Taylor starts with the brows. “Anyone who knows me knows I don’t make fun of them, okay?” she joked. Taylor used Anastasia Beverly Hills’ popular pencil and a few handfuls of styling wax to create flawless arches, then precisely blended concealer under her just-defined arches to enhance their shape. Emphasizing the importance of knowing your undertone, Taylor combines two shades of NARS Radiant Foundation with Pat McGrath’s Concealer, set in place with a dusting of powder, sweeping rosy blush and strategically placed highlighter. Next came the eyes, with eyeliner on the lower lash line and warm smoky eyeshadow applied to her lids; then the lips, which were topped with dark brown eyeliner and two Fenty Beauty lip glosses. The finishing touches before her date? Body butter and Le Labo’s balm roll on where she knows her husband will love it. Leave it to Taylor to heat up!
