Gregg Rosenthal went 10-5-1 straight up in his Week 1 draft. How will he perform in Week 2? His options are as follows.

MONEYLINE: Dolphin: +158 | Crow: -190 spread: Raven-3.5 | O/U: 44.5
This is Game Sunday I’m most excited because I want to see where these teams go next where. Both share similar opening lines, with lackluster running games, just the right amount of offense big moves and suffocating defenses. In pass protection, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel dusted off his Shanahan on the offensive line, but that’s a bad sign that Miami can’t play against a Patriots team that primarily plays five defensive backs .
How Lamar Jackson and the Ravens staff handled the Dolphins’ blitz after last season’s Week 10 meeting of these teams would be a good touchstone when Miami exposed a hole in the Ravens’ passing game that wasn’t (presumably) plugged until the offseason. Baltimore tried more runs under center last week without much success, but if both offenses were one-dimensional, I’d have Lamar over Tua Tagovailoa.
Joby Brissett Flacco and two strong defenses are not a recipe for excitement or points. Brissett looked out of place in Kevin Stefanski’s system, holding the ball and throwing the club. Flacco looks out of place on an NFL field in 2022. That said, when seeing this spread, I can’t help but be insulted on behalf of Robert Saleh. While the Browns offensive line is clearly more cohesive overall, strange things have happened in the punt game. Winning-hungry Saleh could see his young defense start to grow.

Antonio Gibson is running and hard as hell. Terry McLaughlin suddenly has two talented running partners. Commander offensive coordinator Scott Turner was in his bag last week, and the versatility of Gibson and receiver Curtis Samuel made life tricky for opponents before the steal. The Lions are only going to get better, but I’m concerned their defense is still not mature enough to generate sustained pressure or maintain discipline.

MONEYLINE: Colts: -205 | Jaguars: +170
A real revenge game! Frank Reich is 0-4 in Jacksonville, and a repeat of last season’s regular-season finale would make life uncomfortable for the veteran coach. Given the Colts’ lack of explosive passing talent, the game started with a two-pointer that felt more appropriate. I didn’t like either quarterback’s performance in the first week — Matt Ryan and Trevor Lawrence were frenzied at times — but I’m more confident that Ryan will bounce back. The Jaguars’ ongoing red-zone woes could be a close difference.

MONEYLINE:Pirates: -145 | Saints: +122 Spread: Pirate-2.5 | O/U
Dolphins defense by former Patriots assistant Josh Beau Led by Yeh, a poor opponent in New England’s first-week offense, they rolled out a new confrontation plan. The Miami Chargers hit a chaotic New England offensive line, and now it’s another former Patriots assistant, Brian Flores, who has his turn. It’s a confusing time when the Patriots have a poor offensive line, a poor secondary position, and can be eliminated by coaches when they have the ball. Points are invaluable, but the Steelers defense has enough power to win, even without TJ Watt.
The point is that this season we It’s safe to accept that little is known about what we know, so anything more than 7 points is a big ask for a Rams team that looked lost in the opener. Atlanta didn’t have a top four to expose Los Angeles’ questionable offensive line, and coordinator Dean Pease’s blitz plan played to Matthew Stafford’s advantage. Then again, Falcons coach Arthur Smith was irritated and supported by a group of hard-to-play playmakers. Look for some long drive, Marcus Mariota run options for the Falcons. Drake London looks like a fact, which should help unlock Kyle Pitts. Atlanta can keep that distance enough to make Sean McVeigh anxious.
History FYI is so valuable, but Pete Carroll’s 8-2 record and four straight wins against Kyle Shanahan mean something. The Seahawks have a short week with poor personnel, but they tend to be at their worst in Shanahan’s beautiful system. This one may not play out in the monsoon like the 49ers’ last game, but the final score could look something like this.
There is a case made for the Cowboys’ frustration; I just won’t make it. Even if Dallas’ defense maintains the level of play we’ve seen in 2021 and Week 1 of the season, the offense’s endemic issues aren’t just what’s keeping Dak Prescott out in the near future. Injured thumb. Those issues started midseason last year and returned when they had Tyron Smith (until December), La’el Collins (released) and Amari Cooper (traded away). The Bengals have a mature defense that will let you win everything, and there’s no reason to think Mike McCarthy, Karen Moore, or backup QB Cooper Rush have the answer.
Maybe Week 1 overreacting, but I just don’t see that huge between the bottom of the league and the middle difference. If Davis Mills continues to miss the perimeter, the Texans will end up near the bottom, but the defense — backed by an ageless Jerry Hughes and a fun, young middle school — will keep Houston playing. Despite a very inexperienced coaching staff, there are many predictions that position the Broncos as one of the best teams in the league.

MONEYLINE: Cardinals: +196 | Raiders: -240spread: Raiders-5.5 | O/U: 51.5
Kyler Murray can only do so much. The Cardinals lost most of their games on two lines and talent matchups on the perimeter and passing on both sides of the ball . The Raiders’ defense quietly developed over the last week. Under new coordinator Patrick Graham, Las Vegas is more capable of changing the defensive game plan and attacking weak spots on a weekly basis. This week, that could mean a blitz to test Murray’s protective abilities.
This is my hardest choice against spreading. 10 points is a lot for a Packers who were so disorganized on both ends of the floor in Week 1. But the Packers could bring back starting tackle and top receiver Allen Lazard this week against the Bears, who played so hard in the monsoon last week, but otherwise is a mystery. If Elgton Jenkins and David Bakhtiari play, I can see the Packers win 23-10.
MONEYLINE: Titan: +360 | Bill: -480spread: Note-10 | O/U: 48
The Titans scored 76 points in their final two games against the Bills, and both of Tennessee’s victories came earlier in the season. While the Titans’ offensive firepower has waned, there were more positive signs last week than their final score against the Giants indicated. But this is a Josh Allen show, unless proven otherwise – I can’t fight this guy in any way until he looks mortal again. Bills’ deep pass rushers should finally drain Ryan Tannehill.
The Hawks’ defense is lower than Detroit’s parts combined, which could be an issue against the Vikings offense rather than just running Sean McVeigh’s old playbook. Kevin O’Connell has nicely integrated the plans he worked on and found a way to pit Justin Jefferson against the Packers. Minnesota’s defense faces an even tougher test here. Jalen Hurts’ ability to create under pressure could be the difference. Hurts will have one of the best seasons for a quarterback in NFL history.
