(Reuters) – Westpac (NYSE: WBK) Corp said on Monday it would join Australia’s other three “big four” lenders in raising its variable home loan rates 50 5 basis points for the fifth consecutive month of full rate hikes to clients.
Commonwealth Bank of Australia (OTC: CMWAY), Australian Nationals Banks (OTC: NABZY) and ANZ Group raised mortgage rates on Friday.
CBA, NAB New rates for ANZ and ANZ customers will take effect from September 16, while Westpac rates will apply from September 20.
