WhatsApp launches buddy mode for iOS, lets you connect up to four iPhones

About a month ago, WhatsApp officially launched Partner Mode for its Android users, allowing you to link up to five Android phones to one account. Now, iOS users can also use the feature.

WhatsApp version23.10.23 for iOS brings new features and it is available for download via the App Store. Just like on Android, the iOS version of the messaging app syncs your history and all your messages are delivered to all your devices. The company ensures that all your conversations remain end-to-end encrypted, even across linked devices.

However, some features such as message broadcast lists and status updates are only available on the “master” device.

Also, the new version now autoplays GIFs in chat without having to tap on a message.

WhatsApp for businesses for Android will soon get the Status Archive feature as it was spotted in a beta version of the software. It allows business owners to archive certain account states and reuse them if needed in the future.
