Phillies Maintained a 3½-game lead on Saturday night with an 8-5 victory over the Brewers at the Nationals.

The Brewers beat the Reds 5-1, but they limped to the finish line. Milwaukee’s offense is lackluster and built around pitchers, but two-fifths of their starting rotation — Freddy Peralta and Eric Lauer — have entered the past 24 hours. Injured list. Peralta has shoulder problems and Raul is dealing with elbow inflammation.
Phils completed the series against the Nationals on Sunday, then played three-game days in Miami and Atlanta after Monday’s rest.
The Brewers are off Monday and Thursday with five games a week. They’re at the Cardinals on Tuesday and Wednesday before hosting the Yankees next weekend.
