Harris Reed’s fall show vibe at Tate Modern? “Beauty queen meets Henry Moore,” according to the British designer’s show notes – Charlotte Tilbury’s head makeup artist Sofia Tilbury developed a matching luminous makeup. Gold eyes are paired with lips studded with rhinestones and glitter—Reed has a penchant for drama, after all—while the skin glistens thanks to a special “non-travel” technique that reveals a face sculpted with highlighter.

To create the look, Tilbury applied gold gloss to the model’s temples, cheekbones, bridge of the nose and even the arch of the lips. “Once you’ve achieved all the radiance of a highlighter, you’re relying on the natural depth of your skin,” explains Kelechi Onuoha, Global Lead Professional Artist at Charlotte Tilbury. “When the light hits the cheekbones, the gold does its thing role.”
