The sun is on its way, and with it comes a haircut that’s as light and breezy as spring. The chunky bob is a flattering super-cool cut that lends a carefree feel, making it the ideal style to try out when the warmer months roll around.
“The definition of this bob is its chunky fringe,” explains Luke Hersheson, who says the style is all the rage in his salon right now. “It doesn’t look shaved (although it might be), and it has a lumpy weight to the ends. Usually it also kicks out a bit at the ends, which gives it a softness.”

Hailey Bieber is a recent convert to the style, and other celebs have adopted it over the years including Kaia Gerber, Selena Gomez, Romy Schneider, Kelly McGillis (see original Top Gun) and Christy Turlington, she was still in her time, and she had a really great short haircut.
