Known for his stellar performances at Berlin Fashion Week, William Fan chose to forego the traditional runway this season. Instead, he took over Berlin-based events space Alhambra, where he revealed not only a new look but also a new direction for his brand. Fan will switch back to the see-now-buy-now principle this year. The collection serves as a small appetizer before the full summer shift; it’s available to pre-order at the Alhambra for the next two weeks, and some items can be purchased directly.
This little capsule was inspired by the celebrations around Chinese New Year. Much of the collection shines in rich, warm reds combined with golds, echoing traditional festival styles. Chinoiserie collars and jersey dresses with cheongsam details underscored the Chinese influence on the collection, which also revived opulent brocades or sexy cream and beige shades. “The idea of family community and coming together was the main focus,” said the designers.
