PARIS – William Gomis is looking for his perfect UFC debut.
Gomis (10-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will face Octagon rookie Jarno Errens (13-3) -1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) on Saturday in Paris On the main card of UFC Fight Night 209 at the Accor Arena. The event is broadcast live on ESPN+.
The fighter from MMA Factory Paris joined teammates Nassourdine Imavov and headliner Ciryl Gane and wanted to introduce himself to UFC fans by doing well at home.
“I just want a fight,” Gomis told reporters at UFC Fight Night 209 media day on Thursday. “I want to do a master class because I have four games on my contract and I want to fight a big fight for this game.
“Ellens is a good fighter. He is an excellent striker. I think we can have a really tough fight and all the fans will be happy. “
Gomis sees Errens as a striker and a formidable opponent, but he envisions a quick and powerful end to their fight.
“I am a striker. I think I’m a smart fighter and I can find a place with a high kick for an easy KO,” Gomis said. “He doesn’t have a lot of weaknesses, but I’m just a better fighter. “
