Harper stars in the second season of the rom-com series, which follows his character Marcus Watkins’ journey through New York City in 2017 to date and fall in love over a multi-year span. Anna Kendrick starred in the first season and continues as an executive producer on the show, which debuted as HBO Max’s first original scripted series.
Announced in December Love Life is not returning and its existing episodes have been pulled from streaming as a cost-cutting measure.
Harper’s co-star Jessica Williams, who plays Love Interest Mia on the show, recently appeared on Apple TV+’s Shrinking Told THR at the premiere that she was “for Love Life super proud of season 2 and what we’ve done. I’ve been thinking about Marcus and Mia all the time, but I hope people will continue to see it somehow. I think it’s going to find a place. I’m really rooting for that show Proud.”
