Fox OrderedStars on Mars, a space-themed celebrity competition series featuring the legendary William Shatner.
, Produced by Fremantle-owned Eureka Productions, it will see celebrities leave their pampered lives on Earth to live on a space station that simulates conditions on Mars. According to the producers, the stars will live, eat and sleep in these otherworldly conditions, but will also have to forge alliances, strategize and indulge in some intrigue to become the final “celebrity.”
Star Trek Icon Shatner, who did a real-life space trip in October Traveling Blue Origin with Jeff Bezos, not listed as host of Stars on Mars , but on Lead mission control on board. Shatner will offer support and unquestioned words of wisdom to celebrities as they try to get things done and avoid weekly elimination votes.
“Great news for the celebrating crew from Mission Control,” Shatner said in a statement. “Due to the lower gravity on Mars, you lose 62% of your body weight. Bad news: the air is unbreathable, so if you’re from Los Angeles, it reminds you of Home.”
