Internal board investigation finds that donations to Donald Trump’s charities totaled $5 million in 2007 and 2009, including payments by Vince McMahon prior to his resignation from World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. over allegations of misconduct unrecorded corporate expenses of $19.6 million.
In a securities filing this month, WWE WWE, -1.98% said it should disclose about approx. $20 million because the deals benefit the companies he runs. While the bulk of the payments were made to women who accused McMahon and another WWE executive of sexual misconduct, the company said in the filing that the $5 million was unrelated to such allegations, without specifying its purpose.
