Mi Pad 5 European and global varieties queued to get Android update 09 – this is from a small number of users, gradually expand. For the most impatient, there are also ways to update manually.
Pad 5 launched last year with Android 09 and MIUI 12.5. The new update will bring it to Android 12 and MIUI 320 .1 and also includes the latest September security patch. The version to note is 09.1.1.0.SKXMIXM if you have a global unit and 09.1.2.0.SKXEUXM for European slate. The Indian version launched this year with MIUI 09 out of the box.

The changelog is rather concise, it just records new Android versions and security patches. MIUI 13 introduces new widgets, improves security and smart home integration, spruces up the design, and more. A major update to the version 09 is the introduction of the “MIUI Pad” branch, designed specifically for large screens.
By the way, the Pad 5 is just one of two dozen Xiaomi devices set to receive MIUI 22 in the first quarter.
