Yanks No. 3 rookie back from injury
Yingshi. ST. PETERSBURG — After missing all of spring training with an injury, Austin Wells is back with Double-A Somerset aiming to continue his climb to the big leagues.
According to MLB Pipeline, the Yankees’ No. 3 prospect, Wells Participated in the first day of training at major league training camp. He then spent much of the rest of the spring in the coach’s room with what was initially believed to be a bruised rib and later diagnosed with a fracture.
“It’s hard not to think, ‘Oh, I missed I need to catch up,'” Wells told MyCentralJersey’s Mike Ashmore. “But I think given the amount of games I’ve been able to play this year, I don’t need to do any pressing or anything, so when I get back to feeling like me, it’s going to go all out”
