Yanks to bring up No. 3 prospect Everson Pereira (source)
Oswald Peraza also being recalled to join active roster
The Yankees are expected to promote OF Everson Pereira and INF Oswald Peraza from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, a source told MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch on Monday. Both players are expected to be in uniform for Tuesday night’s series opener against the Nationals. The club has not yet confirmed the moves.
Pereira, MLB Pipeline’s No. 80 prospect and the Yankees’ No. 3 prospect, has hit .300/.373/.548 with 18 home runs and 64 RBIs in 81 games between Double-A and Triple-A in 2023.
Peraza, New York’s No. 2 prospect as ranked by MLB Pipeline at the time of his 2022 debut, is hitting .268 with 14 home runs and 36 RBIs with the RailRiders in 2023. The 23-year-old has also appeared in 19 games with the Yankees, hitting .173 with one extra-base hit.
Corresponding moves have yet to be announced.
