Showtime is targeting breakout creatorsYellowjackets.
Paramount Global Supported Premium Cable Network has married Yellow Jackets Creators sign Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson to a comprehensive agreement.
Under a multi-year agreement, the couple will continue to serve as producers (along with Jonathan Lisko) on the Emmy-nominated series, and will be dedicated to Cable TV stations develop new projects.
When news came Yellowjackets was gearing up for a second season and the series was already nominated Seven Emmys, including a series and two mentions of Lyle and Nixon. The couple also received a WGA nomination for their work on the series, which is the most-played series in Showtime history.
“Ashley and Bart are not only great writers, but also extremely original thinkers and creators,” said Gary Levine, president of Showtime Entertainment. “I’m not sure if I want to go camping with them, but I definitely enjoy working with them and I’m glad they will be at Showtime for years to come.”
Lyle and Nickerson’s credits also include AMC’s Dispatches From Elsewhere, Netflix’s Narcos: Mexico and The CW’s The Originals.
“We really appreciate Showtime’s collaboration, promotion and visuals throughout. David Nevins , Gary Levine, Jana Winograde, Amy Israel, Dave Binegar and the entire team believed in the potential of Yellowjackets and stood behind us from the very beginning,” Levine said. Ernest and Nixon said in a joint statement Monday. “We couldn’t imagine a better place to land (pun intended) and are excited to continue this journey with them. Buzz buzz buzz.”
in Before resuming production, Yellow Jackets has been busy solidifying its cast for a second season. The series has enlisted Elijah Wood , Simone Kesell and Lauren Ambrose for its current storyline, while also promoting Courtney Eaton (Lottie) and Liv Hewson (Van) as series regulars.
Lyle and Nickerson were replaced by UTA, Grandview and Nord Group.
