Yoshitaka Amano's ZAN Anime Project Rebooted as Series



Los Angeles-based digital distributor SOZO Comics Announced on Thursday that it is making ZAN , a film based on Yoshitaka Amano Artwork of DEVA ZAN from the anime series .

Jaymen Tokyo and Good Win will produce the project.

SOZO Comics describes ‘s Story*)ZAN: Near the end of the Edo period in Japan, the samurai system An era that is rapidly disappearing. Zan was one of those warriors whose days were spent in endless war. One day, Zan heard the voice of a strange girl who brought him to another world beyond time and space. And so begins his interdimensional battles against various new enemies—and in the process, he learns that he was once a member of the “Twelve Generals.” But who is he? Who is he against, against whom? In a world alternated between light and darkness, war threatens to shroud the entire land in darkness. This project was originally published in 2012 was announced as an anime film, in which Amano made his directorial debut. Amano established his own production studio, Deva Loka, to create the film. The project was supposed to have a 2000 world premiere, but it was never released. Amano once said in 2012 that he was already in created the concept for the film and has been developing the project ever since.
