Picture from www.ted.com Director Yoshiyuki Tomino will not be giving his own TED talk, but he will have the honor of speaking at the TEDx pre-event in April . Both the April pre-event and the TEDxSannomaru main event will be in Odawara Held in Kanagawa Prefecture. Tomino will speak as Odawara’s hometown ambassador.
The pre-conference event will be divided into two parts: The first part will feature presentations by Tomino and Odawara Mayor Teruhiko Moriya around the theme of Odawara’s future and ideas for passing on to the next generation. The second part of the pre-event will feature the screening of the first film. The event is free to attend, but reservations must be made through the TEDx website.
Tomino was born on November 5 in Odawara, Kanagawa Prefecture, 2019. He received the the first annual Kanagawa Culture Award in recognition of his Work on anime and its influence in Japan and Japan went abroad last November. Japan’s Cultural Affairs Agency awarded Tomino Cultural Affairs Commissioner in

TED describes TEDx events as “local, self-organized events” that combine TEDTalk videos, live speakers and panel discussions. TEDx Sannomaru will feature geisha Anzu Matsuyoshi, sustainable agriculture supporter Fumitaka Akisawa, Zen monk Leo Iwayama, inclusion advocate Miyuki Hagiwara, violinist Mizuki Shikimachi, public servant Naoya Urabe, marine conservation archivist Ryota Mizui, youth rugby representative Sena Nurishi , Shonan Bellmare futsal player Shinya Sato , Japanese garden keeper Shizuki Ohki and Traditional food innovator Tomohiro Suzuki .
