WhatsApp is working hard to add new features, especially features that some competitors have had for a long time. Today, it’s time to edit.
WhatsApp now supports editing sent messages. All you need to do is long press the one you want to change and select “Edit” from the menu. This is only valid for the first 15 minutes after the message was sent, please keep that in mind.
Once you change a sent message, it will say “edited” next to it when others see it, so you can’t do anything cryptic mischief. However, the edit history will not be displayed.
Of course, all of this will still be end-to-end encrypted. The new feature has already rolled out to WhatsApp users globally, and the rollout should be complete “within the next few weeks.”
