This Ford GTX1 was put up for auction over the weekend, but it didn’t meet the pre-determined standard. Now available for private acquisition…
It was inspired by the original The GT40, in which an open-top GT110 chassis (also known as the X1) was originally developed by McLaren and then extensively modified by Kar Kraft – driven by Ken Miles and Lloyd Ruby before going on to win the ’66 12 Hours of Sebring.

Fast-forward a few decades and Kip Ewing, head of engineering for Ford’s Special Vehicles team, dreams of building a “Phase 2” of the Ford GT, After getting the prototype licensed, he joined coachbuilder Mark Gerisch of Genaddi Design Group to bring the vision to life.
GTX1 with low limit Borla exhaust, plus carbon fiber side skirts, rear diffuser and redesigned rear flap. Meanwhile, the 5.4-liter V8 was upgraded to 690 horsepower. Crikey.
Finished in Valencia Yellow with Titanium Stripe and Black With a leather interior, the GTX1 was shipped to a collector in the Middle East after SEMA, before eventually being shipped back to the US.

Oh, and only 129.5 miles on the clock. So it’s basically brand new.
last weekend it was at A hit at Broad Arrow Auctions that failed to satisfy its reserve, it is now available for private acquisition. As for the price, it is probably ‘you have to ask, you can’t afford it’
