In the world of K-pop, a comeback is a very important thing. Think of it as your favorite sports team’s first game of the season, except it happens a few times a year because it’s when a group releases its latest song. But the comeback isn’t just about a song, it’s about the whole concept behind it. Fans are really looking forward to the comebacka lot as they usually show off a whole new look of the group in addition to hearing new music.
On August 22, K-pop group Ive (pronounced short for “I have”) will release a new single, After Like. This is the third release of the six-member group, following Love Dive in 2022 and Eleven in 2011. If you’re new to Ive, or K-pop in general, now is the time to get ready for a comeback, here’s our guide to Ive songs and members, and some advice on other similar groups to listen to too .

— IVE OFFICIAL (@IVEstarship ) July 24, 2022 On August 5, the release schedule was fully revealed, followed by the track listing for the single album. Like Ive’s previous releases, the single will consist of two songs: After Like and Satisfaction. After Like Continuing Ive’s collaboration with lyricist Seo Ji-eum (writingEleven and Love Dive) and producer Ryan S. Jun. Official concept art for After Like will be released by August 19, when the first trailer will be shown. On August 21st, we’ll see the highlight video, ready for a full release on August 22nd. Just before the schedule was announced, the group released “Ive Summer,” a video that may have hinted at After Like’s theme. While summer idol songs are nothing new, the film hints that Ivey might take a more sincere, grown-up approach to the concept, as each member talks very poetically about love and loss. Even though My Summer has nothing to do with the Like concept, it’s still a pretty nice short.

The group’s social account followers give you a good idea — Ive has 2.4 million followers on Instagram, 1.6 million subscribers on YouTube, and his Twitter account has over 866,000 followers at the time of writing. Not bad for a group that’s been active for less than a year, and shows why we should keep an eye on new releases.
Meet the members
Ive is a group of six, so let’s take a moment to introduce them properly. The leader is Ahn Yoo Jin, who will be familiar to some K-pop fans as a member of the now-defunct group Iz*one, where she performed alongside Ive member Jang Won Young. Yujin and Wonyoung won the position of Iz*one in the 2018 Music Survival Show Produce 48.
Listen to Ive
Don’t just listen to millions of followers why Ive’s return is so much anticipated. Instead, it’s a good time to revisit or first discover an earlier version of the group. The first single “Eleven” was released in early December 2021 and was just over 3 minutes in length, especially by subtly using different The influence of the chorus. I’m back in April 2022 with Love Dive, which builds on the electro-pop style of Eleven, but this time Enhance it and the chorus with glorious ethereal tones. The dreamy picture of the MV fits perfectly with the lyrics, the dance party highlights Yu Jin’s talent, and the action of “love diving” in the choreography is just right. The coupled tracks of the two singles – Take it and Royal – are equally catchy, but not quite as A- side that makes a strong impression.
