Live lyrics are nothing new in the world of music streaming. Both Spotify and Apple Music have had this feature for a while. YouTube Music has been lagging behind. Lyrics are already available on the Google streaming platform, but only in a basic manual manner.
What this new update brings is automatic real-time tracking of lyrics as the song plays. Live lyrics tracking works with any song that has lyrics uploaded to YouTube Music. The current lyrics will be highlighted and its text size will increase in the app’s Lyrics tab.

LAST YEAR , Google partnered with MusixMatch and started developing this feature. There are reports that real-time lyric tracking is also powered by LyricFind.
As of now, we’ve only seen screenshots of the feature on Android and iOS, with no specific release timeline. Some Reddit users have reported getting the feature in version 5 of the Android app. 04. 04.
