It may be a few weeks before New York Jets fans see Zach Wilson back on the field. The Jets improved to 7-4 with a 31-10 victory over the Chicago Bears.
As a backup, White comprehensively beat the Bears’ Trevor Simian, going 22-of-28 for 315 yards and 3 touchdowns. Unsurprisingly, he earned rave reviews. ESPN Fantasy Sports @ESPNFantasy Mike White today: pic.twitter.com/kUKom46IxJ

Yes, Zach Wilson is a great opportunity to watch and learn from Mike White, a better football player than him.

Stefan Bondy @SBondyNYDN Honestly, the Jets are going for Zach Wilson at this point What did you find? A 7th round pick?
The whites may turn into pumpkins shortly after. He threw for 405 yards and three touchdowns in last year’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals, and two games later had four interceptions in a rout against the Buffalo Bills.
White can now be safely included as New York’s Week 13 starter against the Minnesota Vikings. He certainly earned the right.
Wilson’s tenure with the Jets could also be in serious jeopardy. The extent to which offenses have changed under the influence of different quarterbacks raises further questions about his long-term viability.
It won’t be a completely unprecedented situation since the Arizona Cardinals drafted Josh with the 10th overall pick Rosen put him aside after a year.
Generals manager Joe Douglas isn’t going to make any knee-jerk decisions right now, but he might at least work out a possible offseason A course in which the Jets identify a more permanent Wilson replacement.
